Heidi Weber lives, learns, and leads in Loveland, Ohio; a beautiful suburb outside of Cincinnati nestled around the Little Miami River.
She lives with her husband, Bill and their dog Cracker; her own daughters are in their early 20’s pursuing their interests and passions.
She learns as much as she can through personal learning networks via ISTE, NAGC, NCTE, ILA and state affiliates OCTELA and ITIP. Avidly reading and searching information as well as getting involved in Twitter chats keeps Heidi mentally stimulated and up to date.
She leads young learners in 3rd/4th grades at Loveland Elementary School. Her students are guided to pursue their learning in a very blended classroom environment where Heidi can guide and facilitate to meet individual needs.
Heidi holds National Board Certification in the area of Early Childhood Generalist. She is the proud recipient of OCTELA’s 2015 English Language Arts Educator of the Year with Special Distinction, NCTE’s 2013 Donald H. Graves Award for the Teaching of Writing, and has been accepted as a 2015-2016 PBS Learning Media Digital Innovator. In 2015, she earned her Google Level 1 Certification. Heidi has also won her local PTA’s Educator of the Year award 3 times (2012,2009,2003).
Presenting and sharing her love of teaching with others is another passion. She has presented at National, State, and Local conferences. See her Curriculum Vitae for more info: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YbIktUCtzUuXIoqDSJlw_SpiwiJg8EE9E3VuQMqumlY/edit?usp=sharing
