Put-In-Bay

July 2-3, 2013

Mr. Weber and I began my “one tank trip” or “Jeep Journeys” by heading north and crossing Lake Erie in a Ferry!  When we got there we learned that 200 years ago a very important battle in the War of 1812 took place there:  The Battle of Lake Erie.  The town was gearing up to celebrate Perry’s Victory.  We went to the top of the International Peace Memorial (which was higher than the Statue of Liberty!)  Unfortunately, something happened to all of my amazing pictures… :0(

Anyway, we kept seeing all of these flags that said “Don’t Give Up The Ship!” and learned how they connected to the battle when we got to the top of the memorial!
